 Run Fit with Life Fit

January 25th 2012 6-9pm

Whether you are a complete beginner, mid level or amateur club runner then there will be something for you at our Run Fit event.

We have gathered together a team of experts to help you start running, improve your running or perfect your running! We know from experience all the elements combined can help you stay injury free, enjoy your running and more importantly achieve PB’s and keep moving forward.

Just have a scroll down the page and you will see who is joining us on the night and what they can offer – we know better than anyone that all these elements combined can help produce real results.

To help our evening run smoothly and to ensure everyone gets the advice they are after we would ask you to complete the quick form below which will help us keep the team organised on the night – THANKS!

Run & Become Grant Podiatry Hugh Watson Biomechanist Life Fit

Run and Become have been helping keep runners on the straight and narrow for 20 years from their store in Dalry Road, Edinburgh. As you would expect  the staff are all keen amateur athletes and know pretty much all there is to know about footwear, gait analysis, clothing and accessories.

The team will be along with footwear and running bras to give advice and fittings and as they are such a nice bunch they are offering our Run Fit guests a 10% discount on any purchase at the event.

Nikki Grant is an experienced podiatrist who can offer advice and solutions on all things gait and foot related.

Nikki specialises in orthotics so is just the person to have with us working alongside Run and Become on the evening to ensure that you have the correct footwear and insoles if required at a budget that won’t break the bank.

Hugh Watson specialises in biomechanical analysis and running programs.  He has worked alongside some of the world leaders in sports biomechanics and currently teaches sports and exercise physiology.

His current area of research is the biomechanics of the spine and running gait and links with injury and performance success. Put simply, Hugh can help you run better and faster –sign us up!

Our very own physio team will be offering free 10 minute appointments where you can ask them about a niggling injury or advice on stretching or even a quick massage on an achey bit.

David and Arlene have been helping beginners to Olympians for a while now (lets not make them feel too old!)  so there isn’t much they don’t know about achilles, ankles, calves, hips….
